Can I Trust God Knows and Cares?

Hello Bride of Christ,

How great is our God? Who can fathom His greatness? The truth is our minds are too limited and finite to measure or comprehend His greatness. We define “great” based on words and vocabulary known to our tongues. Yet He exceeds them all. Our words come up short in definition and description when it comes to God. So we are left to create boundaries of greatness in the hope of gaining some understanding…truth is His greatness is unsearchable (Psalm 145:3). Yet the Holy Spirit grips the psalmist to write and attempt to describe God to show us He knows and cares about us deeply.

“Great is our Lord, and mighty in power; His understanding is infinite.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭147‬:‭5

‭‭Psalm‬ ‭145‬:‭8‬-‭9‬ ‭

“The Lord is gracious and full of compassion, slow to anger and great in mercy. The Lord is good to all, and His tender mercies are over all His works.”

How great is our God?

“All Your works shall give thanks to You, O Lord, and all Your saints shall bless you! They shall speak of the glory of Your kingdom and talk of Your power, to make known to the sons of men Your mighty acts, and the glorious majesty of His kingdom.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭145‬:‭10‬-‭12‬ ‬

My words might fail, but dear sister can I give you a glimpse? Might the power of my testimony tell you of His goodness and the strength of His love shine through my existence! For He found me alone and desolate weighed down in my sin. Yet with His rich mercies He offered me grace to accept the work of Jesus on the cross. My debt to sin, now found paid in full thanks to Jesus!

Praise Him all you saints! You might not understand all His ways or thoughts, but you experience His goodness. Remember and talk of His power in your life. Speak of His mighty acts. Tell of how His complete limitless knowledge protect you from the enemy’s schemes. His greatness allows you to trust Him to act on your behalf and work all things for good. Share how He steps into your worry, doubt, and weariness and invites you to come away with Him to rest for a while.

How great is our God?

“The Lord builds up Jerusalem; He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.” ‭Psalm‬ ‭147‬:‭2‬ ‭

“Praise the Lord, O Jerusalem! Praise your God, O Zion! For He strengthened the bars of your gates; He has blessed your children within you. He makes peace in your borders; and fills you with the finest wheat.” ‭‭Psalm‬ ‭147‬:‭12‬-‭14‬

When our testimonies fail, let cities as precious as Jerusalem rise up and testify of His greatness. He continues to work then and now to build up Jerusalem and her people. The news today might give the appearance of an absent and slumbering God, but do not be deceived. He strengthened Israel’s gates before and He will do it again. He never ceases to make peace at her borders! For this, Jerusalem, Zion, and we are called to praise in the midst of testimony fulfillment.

How great is our God?

Bride of Christ, the prophets of old tell us, there is none like Him, He is great, and great is His name in might. (Jeremiah 10:9) This great God through His Son, Jesus, invites us into His greatness.

Come to Me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.” Matthew 11:28

“If anyone thirsts, let him come to Me and drink.” John 7:37

Come and eat breakfast.” John 21:12

Come and see.”John 1:39

Come aside by yourselves to a deserted place and rest a while.” Mark 6:31

Come, take up the cross, and follow Me.” Mark 10:21

Come, you blessed of My Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:” Matthew 25:34

He has considered your heavy load, appetite, and future inheritance. How will you respond to a God who knows and cares for you deeply? May considering His greatness release you from needing to understand, do, or solution for life’s problems. Let His greatness move you from doubt to belief, confusion to trust, and weariness to praise!
